Abrahams Watershed Association meeting Nov. 16

The Abrahams Creek Watershed Association along with Skelly and Loy Engineering will hold a public meeting on November 16 at 7 p.m. in the West Wyoming Borough Hall. The event will explain the Abrahams Creek Watershed project and allow for public input and discussion of water related problems in the Abrahams Creek Watershed area.

WA Drama Club

The Wyoming Area Drama Club Parents will be meeting on Wednesday, November 4, at 7 p.m. at the Secondary Center. All parents of Drama Club members are welcome.

Wyoming Rotary

The Wyoming Rotary will hold a Fall Fundraiser Happy Hour at the Ooh Ooh Bird in Exeter. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and Scott Davis is the chairman. The Great Restaurant Certificate Raffle Drawing and 50/50 drawing will be held.

Friendly Circle

The Friendly Circle Senior Citizens will meet on Thursday, November 5 at 1 p.m. in the Exeter Community Room, Schooley Ave Exeter. Lois Nolan will preside. Hosts will be Jane Mikillosko and Francis Petkoyate.

Hose Co #2

West Wyoming Hose Co #2 will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday November 4 at Company Headquarters, 218 Stites St in the Borough at 7 .pm.

Nominations for officers will be held and the Annual Fund Drive will be discussed. Anyone age 14 and over interested in learning more about the Fire Service is encouraged to come meet the officers and ask questions. The Relief Association meeting will follow immediately after the conclusion of the Regular Meeting. President Mark Mizzer will preside.

Senior Citizens

The regular meeting of the Wyoming - West Wyoming Seniors will take place Tuesday, November 3, at Our Lady of Sorrows Hall at 1:30 p.m.

Hosts are Helen Nocek, Dora Kraynak and Alice Daniels. Raffle winners were, Marie Mattina, Charlotte Piezala, Joann Kwasny and Genny Labathy.

The Christmas Dinner committee consisting of George Yurek, Elinor Yurek, Helen Nocek, Betty O’Hara, Mary Stanton and Genny Labathy continued with the planning of the affair. Payments can be made at this meeting. There will be refreshments and Bingo will be played. New members are welcome and parking is available for the handicapped.

American Legion

At the October meeting of the American Legion Post 904, the Christmas party was voted on and scheduled by the body. It will be December 13, at Agolinos Restaurant at 3 p.m. Please contact the Commander or the Christmas party committee for menu’s and response sheets. Chairman, Bob Jones, Ron Semanski and George Yurek. Additional information will be available at the November 12 meeting. Plan to attend

Borough Notes

All Wyoming Residents please remember that political signs are not allowed on tree lawns. There is a Borough ordinance that prohibits this. Please remove and place elsewhere on your property, otherwise the police will be checking and citations may be issued.

The Borough Office and the Tax Collector have now moved to the Midway Shopping Center with the Police Department. They are located adjacent to Price Chopper.

The telephone number remains the same 693-0291. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Tax Collector is now only in the office on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
