Borough notes

Council announced grass clippings will not be collected until next season.

Hughestown Hose Company Auxiliary will meet Thursday, October 15 at 7 p.m. Gerry Sarti will chair the meeting and Diane Frushon will be hostess.

Hughestown Borough Council will meet, Monday, October 12 at 7:30 with Barbara Gatto presiding.

Anyone wishing to solicit funds in the borough must contact the Chief of Police, Steve Golya at 654-2082 for permission.

Anniversary wishes go to Chief of Police Steve Golya and his wife Mary celebrating their 30th anniversary.

Happy birthday to Councilman Wayne Quick who is celebrating on October 12.

Lion President, Steve Golya and the members of the Hughestown Lions Club thank the residents of Hughestown who contributed to their annual fund drive. The Lions Club sponsors many activities in the borough including the upcoming Halloween party, the annual Easter Egg Hunt, the Christmas visit to St. Joseph’s to decorate the home and deliver gifts to the children and the Clarence Hensley Scholarship Awards.
