Charles E. Gebhardt, RN

Charles E. "Chuckie" Gebhardt, RN, 47, of Wilkes-Barre, died October 29, 2009 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of Marianne Lefkoski Gebhardt, of Pittston, and the late Charles Gebhardt. He was a 1981 graduate of Coughlin High School and was a graduate of Luzerne County Community College with a degree in nursing. He was active in the Mohawks Mini Football and was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre.

Also preceding him in death was a sister, Donna Marie Gebhardt.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years, the former Stella Yaglowski; children, Brandon, Olivia and Nicholas, all at home; his mother, Marianne Lefkoski Gebhardt, Pittston; sisters, Elizabeth Morgan and her husband, Richard, Inkerman; and Debra Marcinko and her husband, Frank, Pittston; a brother, Frederick "Rick" Gebhardt, Plains Township; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday from Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church. Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to The Gebhardt Children Education Fund, c/o Service First Credit Union, 620 Baltimore Drive, Suite 250, Wilkes-Barre 18711, attn. Gebhardt Family.
