Cub Pack 366, Wyoming, welcomes 12 new scouts

Cub Scout Pack 366 started the new year with a registration and pack meeting on September 27 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church Hall. Twelve new boys were welcomed into the pack and Cubmaster, Barbara Stahley, presented the summertime awards. Mrs. Stahley is continuing to take registrations from boys in 1st through 3rd grade. Please contact her at 693-1425 for further information. The pack is selling Bon Ton coupons to raise funds for the new season.

Also of interest is that the pack will be attending Heritage Day at Frances Slocum Park on October 11. A picnic lunch is planned for that day at the park. All Cub Scouts and their families are invited to attend.

The Webelos II boys attended Webelos Woods camping the weekend of October 4 at Moon Lake. Scouts that attend were Tyler Demko and Gianni Mazza and their leaders James Higdon and Alberto Herrera.

Friendly Circle

The Friendly Circle Senior Citizens will meet on October 15 at 1 p.m. in the Exeter Community Room on Schooley Ave. Lois Nolan will preside. Pizza will be served. Hosts are Maggie Graham and Cheryl Phiper.

Softball Parents

The Wyoming Area Softball Parents will be holding their first meeting for the upcoming season on Wednesday night, October 14, at 7 p.m. at Sabatini’s Pizza in Exeter. All parents of softball players in grades 7 through 12 are encouraged to attend. Planning for this season’s events will take place. For any questions, call Drew at 655-8756

Basketball Parents

Wyoming Area Boys Basketball Parents Association will meet on Sunday, October 11 at 6 p.m. in the West Pittston Borough Building. All parents of player in grades 7th through 12th are urged to attend. Plans for the upcoming season, plus meet the Warriors are on the agenda.

Football Parents

The Wyoming Area Senior Football Players and Senior Marching Band Members will be honoring their parents prior to the home game on Friday, October 23. Parents are asked to report to the Football Spirit Stand promptly at 6 p.m. The ceremony will begin at approximately 6:15 .pm. Please call Mary Ann Murphy with any questions at 654-3627. Ham Dinner

St Joseph’s Christian Mothers are holding a family style ham dinner in the church hall Sunday October 25 from 12-4 p.m. Tickets are $8 adults and $4 children 10 and under. Tickets will be sold after Masses at both St. Joseph’s & Our Lady of Sorrows.

Borough Notes

The Police Station is now under construction and the Borough Office as well as the Tax Collector has now moved to the Midway Shopping Center. The office is located is located to the right of Price Chopper. This is also the temporary location of the Police Station. Telephone numbers are the same. Face Value is now in effect and the Tax Office hours are Monday 9 to 10:30 a.m. The Borough Office hours have not changed and are open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any questions, please call 693-0291 and Cheryl DiGiacomo, Borough Manager will be more than glad to help.
