Hughestown Borough Council will hold a work session on July 9 at 7 p.m. Barbara Gatto will preside.
Plans are moving forward for the park celebration on Saturday, July 18 from 12 to 6 p.m. The event is designed to provide an opportunity to look at the new playground equipment and to thank Carmen Ambrosino who spearheaded the fund drive that made it possible.
Special thanks to Rep. Mike Carroll and Sen. Raphael Musto.
The festivities will start at noon and there is no charge. A DJ will entertain and there will be lots of games and free food. Residents may bring a covered dish if they choose. It will be an eventful day for everyone.
Playground stands have finally been painted.
The weather has not been very co-operative, but they look great.
Plans for the new sewers in the borough are being discussed. Mike Amato of Pasonick Engineering will be on hand at the council meeting to discuss this.
Residents are reminded that grass clippings are to be placed curbside. No other items will be collected. No more than three open containers are to be placed at curbside to be collected.
