Laflin Library holds cookout

The Laflin Public Library closed their 2009 Summer Reading Program with a cookout on the borough playground for the children who participated. Reading certificates and prizes were awarded to each child. The Red Robin made a special visit to congratulate the children. Thank you to Auntie Ann Pretzels and to the Red Robin for their generous support.

The children and young adults had done an outstanding job this year reading a total of 840 books. Congratulations to each of you. Our top readers this year in each age category were Joseph Day, age group 3, 4, 5; Michael Grebeck, age group 6, 7, 8 and Bridget Shea Thole, age group 9 and up.
