The recently formed West Pittston Lions Club held its first ever meeting on October 14, at Agolino’s Restaurant. Everyone everywhere has begun to go back to a more peaceful time when they themselves, or their parents and/or friends joined service clubs such as the International Association of Lions Clubs. This club is very close to a charter date, with only a few more members needed to move the process along. Some have offered to serve as officers. A second meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday October 21 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ross Group Properties office at 20 Luzerne Avenue here in West Pittston. This will not be a dinner meeting. Shown are a few Lions who attended the meeting. Seated, Lion Barbara Edwards; standing Lions Charles Sammon, Igor Bodnar, Ruth Kemmerer, Diane Yanuskivich, Kimberly Burnham and District Governor Patty K. Warwick. For more specific meeting information, call 208-LION and leave a message.
