St. Mary’s RC Church in Old Forge will hold its annual festival today from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the churches auditorium and gymnasium.

OF Crime Watch

The Old Forge Crime Watch Association will meet at the Borough Building on October 5 at 7p.m.

The meeting is open to the public.

The OFCWA meets the first Sunday of each month

OFE Book Fair

The Old Forge Elementary will hold its annual OFES Book Fair October 6-10 under the direction of OFE Librarian Anita Shrive. The theme of this year’s fair is SAFARI!

Students will be allowed to shop and purchase books and other reading materials during their regularly scheduled Library classes and other free time throughout the week.

Family Night is October 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with all proceeds benefiting the library and PTA programs during the school year.

K of C Polenta

The Knights of Columbus Council #5940 will hold its annual "Polenta on the Board" & Pasta Dinner on Sunday, October 12, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the parish hall at St. Mary’s Church, Old Forge.

School Board

The Old Forge Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on October 15 at 7 p.m. in the LGI Room.

The meeting is open to the public.

Parks to Close

Director of Parks and Recreation Joe McAndrew has announced that all borough parks will close Nov. 1. Until that time, parks will only be open until 7 p.m. for the remainder of the season due to recent vandalism.

Rec Board Meeting

The Old Forge Recreation Board meeting for November has been rescheduled for Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Old Forge Borough Building.

Meetings will be held at the borough building until next spring.

The board normally meets the first Wednesday of every month.
