The Wyoming Area Drama Club Parents are selling 18-inch Douglas Fir Christmas wreaths. For $10, you can purchase a voucher for a beautiful, fresh wreath.
Wreaths can then be picked-up at Ciampi’s Greenhouse, Exeter. Profits from this fund-raiser will be used to support Drama Club productions. Vouchers can be purchased from any Drama Club parent.

First Sunday of Advent, November 29 - Taize Service of song and prayer, 6 p.m. praying the scripture, divine reading 6:45 p.m.
Second Sunday of Advent, December 6 - Sunday night alive, kneeling in Bethlehem, 6:06 p.m.; Praying by touch: beads and beyond, 6:45 p.m.
Third Sunday of Advent, December 13 - Taize service of song and prayer, 6 p.m.; Rummaging for God: praying backwards through the day, 6:45 p.m.
Fourth Sunday of Advent, December 20 - Christmas hymn sing, 3 p.m.; Cookie and coffee: prayers of fellowship, 3:45 p.m.
The Wyoming Area Drama Club Parents will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Secondary Center lobby.
Final returns for the Christmas Wreath Sale are due at this time.
The Wyoming Area Kiwanis Club, along with its sponsored Key Club and Builders, cordially invite the public to their16th annual Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, December 6 at the Wyoming Area Secondary Center Cafeteria from 8:30 a.m. to Noon. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Infants under 2 are free of charge.
Tickets are available from any Kiwanis, Key Club or Builders Club member. Tickets can be reserved by calling 603-0488 or be prepaid by sending a check to Wyoming Area Kiwanis, PO Box 4052, Wyoming, PA 18644. Pre-ordered tickets will be available at the door.
This year’s Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee, juice, hot chocolate and milk. Santa Claus will be presented in a comfortable, child non-threatening environment, so your children can truly enjoy their visit with good old Saint Nick.
A Christmas Wonderland setting will greet the children and the adults, children will have to opportunity to make their own Christmas craft ornament and enjoy story telling and Christmas music sung by the K family members.
There will be a Senior Class Parent’s meeting on Wednesday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. Plans for the All Night Party will be discussed.
Weekly Story Time - Every Friday at 1:00 p.m.
Weekly Family Game Night - Every Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
The West Pittston Library Book Club meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:45 p.m. and welcomes new members at any time.
Copies of selected books will be available for check out at the circulation desk three weeks before each meeting. The schedule is as follows: Tuesday, January 5 - One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. There will be no meeting in December.
The West Pittston Library’s State funding has been cut by 20-percent. The Friends of the West Pittston Library are currently working on several fundraisers to help the library. One is a raffle. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. There are certificates available for a Christmas tree and wreath from Ciampi’s Greenhouse, $25.00from Valenti’s Restaurant, $20.00 from Gerrity’s Supermarket, $25.00 from TJ Maxx and a Mary Kay Basket.
Wyoming Area Spanish teacher Christine Marianacci and History teacher Barbara Bullions are planning a trip to Spain for July 2010. The tour will visit Madrid, Seville, Cordoba, Costa del Sol, Granada, Valencia, andBarcelona.
There will also be a full day excursion across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco.
This will be Mrs. Bullions’s fourth trip with EF Educational Tours.Previous students have traveled to England, Paris, and Italy.
