Alma M. Zarzecki, 83, of Edwardsville, and formerly of Wyoming and Plains Township, died November 6, 2009, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Plains Township, she was a graduate of Plains High School and received her nursing degree from the Wyoming Valley Homeopathic Hospital School of Nursing. For many years, she and her late husband, Joseph, owned and operated Zarzecki Flower Shop, formerly of Wyoming. As a registered nurse, she did private duty for Interim Health Care of Pittston. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Russ Bus Co. of West Wyoming for 20 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church of Wyoming and the Wyoming Free Library, where she was involved in the book club.

Preceding her in death was her husband Joseph.

Surviving is her son, David of Edwardsville.

Funeral services at the convenience of the family from the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home, Wyoming.
