Catherine Fusco

Catherine Fusco, 88, of Pittston Township, formerly of West Pittston, died March 11, 2010 at home.

Born on September 12, 1921 in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Grace Arcadipani Anzalone. She was a graduate of Pittston High School. Prior to retirement, she was employed in the local garment industry. She was a member of St. Rocco’s Church, Pittston; the West Pittston Junior Women’s Club; the ILGW Union. She also volunteered for Hospice Care of the VNA. In her later years, she loved to travel on trips out of the country with her friend Sue Mazzocchi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas (Guidie) Fusco in 1995; son, Thomas Fusco in 1985; brothers, Rev. Sam Anzalone, OSJ; Tony Anzalone; John Anzalone; Ky Anzalone; and Jimmy Anzalone.

Surviving are her daughter, Cathy Fusco, with whom she resided; son, David Fusco and his wife Joanna, West Wyoming; grandchildren Dan Fusco and Anna Fusco; brothers, Angelo Anzalone, Jenkins Township and Joseph Anzalone, Pittston; sisters, Josephine Klimek, Wyoming and Grace Williams, California; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, William Street, Pittston. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the church. There will be no calling hours. Interment, St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston.
