Cecilia E. Tidd, 76, a resident of North Pocono area for 56 years and formerly of Dunmore, died November 8, 2009, at Mercy Hospital. She was the widow of Harold R. "Bob" Tidd.
Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Julia Santarsiero Stecco.
She attended Dunmore schools and was employed by the North Pocono School District as the manager of the high school cafeteria for 40 years. She was a member of the Silver Sneakers Group at Fitness Quest, Daleville, and a social member of the VFW in Dupont, where she loved to dance on Saturday nights. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Moscow, for more than 40 years.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ann; and her companion, Leonard Lomascola.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susan M. McGrath and husband, Michael, Moscow; Virginia L. Jones and husband, Robert, Moscow; grandchildren, Ashley and Jillian Jones; brother, Andy Stecco, Dunmore; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Nov. 11 in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Moscow. Interment Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
