Clement J. Russavage

Mr. Clement J. Russavage, 78, of Duryea passed away Thursday at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.

Born in Duryea, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jessie Kulinski Russavage. He was a graduate of Duryea High School and the University of Scranton.

He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the former Duryea High School as a math teacher and football coach. When Duryea High School became Pittston Area High School, he was employed as a math teacher and golf coach.

He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1227 Duryea and the American Legion Post 585, Duryea.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Elinor R. Ostrowski Russavage.

Surviving are daughter Kathy Nurge and her husband Peter of West Alton, NH; son James Russavage and his wife Janice Bucci of Export, PA; daughter Marie Gilbert and her husband Paul of Greenland, NH; daughter Jo Anne Russavage of Manchester, New Hampshire; daughter Janet Dardick and her husband Scott of Camp Hill, PA; daughter Patricia Kosik and her husband Robert of Arlington, VA; son Joseph Russavage and his wife Mary Abbott of Amherest, MA; son Edward Russavage and his wife Eileen Martin of Hingham, MA; 11 grandchildren, brother Leo Russavage and his wife Joyce of Tunkhannock and four nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea.

Funeral services and Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
