Clement J. Russavage

Clement J. Russavage, 78, of Duryea, died October 22, 2009 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.

Born in Duryea, he was a son of the late Joseph and Jessie Kulinski Russavage. He was a graduate of Duryea High School and the University of Scranton. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the former Duryea High School as a math teacher and football coach. When Duryea High School became Pittston Area High School, he was employed as a math teacher and golf coach. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1227, Duryea, and the American Legion Post 585, Duryea.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Elinor R. Ostrowski Russavage.

Surviving are daughter Kathy Nurge and her husband, Peter, of West Alton, NH; son James Russavage and his wife, Janice Bucci, of Export; daughter Marie Gilbert and her husband, Paul, of Greenland, NH; daughter Jo Anne Russavage, of Manchester, NH; daughter Janet Dardick and her husband, Scott, of Camp Hill; daughter Patricia Kosik and her husband, Robert, of Arlington, VA; son Joseph Russavage and his wife, Mary Abbott, of Amherst, MA; son Edward Russavage and his wife, Eileen Martin, of Hingham, MA; 11 grandchildren; brother Leo Russavage and wife Joyce, of Tunkhannock; four nieces and nephews.

Arrangements by the Piontek Funeral Home, Duryea. Private funeral services and interment.
