David A. Stankoski

David A. Stankoski, 48, died October 21, 2009 in Highland Manor, Exeter.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, on December 6, 1960, to Edward A. and Florence (Menn) Stankoski of Exeter and formerly of West Pittston. He graduated from Wyoming Area High School in 1978. He received a degree from Luzerne County Community College in culinary arts. He was employed for many years in the food service industry, first starting as kitchen staff at Buck Hill Fall Resort, and then working for many years for various hotel chains such as Hilton and Marriot, and then as a sous chef and later head chef at numerous restaurants throughout the United States.

He is also survived by brother, Dr. John Stankoski and his wife, Susan, of Pittston; niece, Nicole, nephews, John Jr. and Michael; brother, Edward A. Stankoski, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of York; nephew, Anthony and his wife, Nicole; and their daughter, Lily; nephew, Dean.

Funeral services will be private. Interment West Pittston Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Adonizio Funeral Home, West Pittston. Memorial donations may be made to the Luzerne County SPCA, 524 E. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, 18702, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
