Elizabeth L. Simpson died November 9, 2009, at the Partridge Tippett Nursing Facility at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township, where she resided since 2006.
She was born August 13, 1927, in Plymouth, a daughter of the late Victor and Elizabeth Coughlin Simpson. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School and was employed for Bell Telephone Co., "The Bell," for 40 years. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin, a volunteer with the Greater Wilkes-Barre Telephone Pioneers and a member of the Friends of the Osterhout Library.
She was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, V. Robert and Agnes Simpson.
Surviving are her niece and her husband, Patricia and John Fallon, Boxborough, MA; nephew and his wife, Robert and Mary Simpson, Owego, NY; grandniece, Elizabeth Fallon, Massachusetts; grandnephew and his wife, John and Elizabeth Fallon, Massachusetts; as well as many other relatives and friends, especially Theresa Laubaugh.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 13 at St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
