Kathy Collins Shermanski , 49, of Jermyn, died October 26, 2009, at the Mercy Hospital in Scranton. She is survived by her husband, Walter.

She is also survived by her daughters, Kristen Minella and husband Jim, of Old Forge; and Katie Topa and companion Billy Van Wert, of Dunmore; a sister, Marirose Bobrowski, and husband Larry, of Sewell, NJ; brothers James Collins, of Hunlock Creek, and John Collins and wife Susan, of Scranton; a grandson, Colin Topa; an aunt, Helen Collins, of Scranton; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 28 in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, West Scranton. Interment Cathedral Cemetery. Arrangements by Kearney Funeral Home, West Scranton.
