Louis J. Bartoli Jr., 64, of Hughestown, died unexpectedly on January 21, 2010 at home.

Born in Hughestown, on October 6, 1945, he was a son of the late Louis J. Bartoli Sr., and Evelyn H. Shellhammer Bartoli. He attended Hughestown schools. He followed in his father’s footsteps and was a former Hughestown policemen, as well as a former Hughestown fireman. He had worked in the manufacturing industry.

Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Marlene Bogdon Bartoli; son, Jason L. Bartoli and his fianc�e, Megan Marsh, Avoca; stepdaughters, Diana Mecadon, Lisa Mecadon, Tammy Mecadon Uritz and Nicole Mecadon; grandchildren, Brandon Goodlavage, Albert (A.J.) Sciandra, Emily Uritz, John and Cody Morris; sisters, Louise Magda, Jenkins Township, Evelyn Kampas, Yatesville, and Ruth Kreig, Plymouth; sister-in-law, Diane Heiney, Scranton; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Jan. 26 from the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston. Interment St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston Township. Online condolences may be made at www.peterjadoniziofuneralhome.com .
