Margaret S. Knorr

Margaret S. Knorr, 92, Wyoming, died October 23, 2009 in the Hospice Care of the VNA Inpatient Unit Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Swoyersville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Irene Hawk Sukoskey. She was a graduate of Wyoming Memorial High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as the secretary at the former Holy Name of Jesus Church in Swoyersville. She previously was employed as an office manager for Diamond Mfg. Co. in West Wyoming and Finch Manufacturing Co. in West Pittston. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming; the parish Christian Mothers and Altar and Rosary Societies. She was also a member of the Wyoming-West Wyoming Senior Citizen’s Club.

Her husband, Louis W. Knorr, preceded her in death on May 16, 1978.

Surviving is her stepdaughter Anita T. Wolfe and her husband Ronald, of North Wales; two grandchildren, Ruth Ann Smith and her husband, Stephen; Dr. Ronald Wolfe and his wife, Judeline; four great-grandchildren, Madeline, Molly, Jocelyn Ann and Ronnie.

Funeral services were Oct. 29 from the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home, Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
