Mrs. Mary Theresa Petroziello, 84, of Duryea, died March 18, 2010, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Olenik Estock Sr. She was a graduate of Pittston High School, Class of 1942, and graduated as an executive secretary from Scranton Business College. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. She resided in Pittston for most of her life, prior to moving to Duryea seven years ago.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl (Hoodsie) Petroziello, who passed away on August 14, 1980; three brothers, infant Joseph, David and Andrew Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Deborah Gilroy Petroziello.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Catherine Petroziello, with whom she resided; son, Brian Petroziello and his wife, Karan, of Clayton, OH; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Jerome Estock, of Pittston; sisters, Catherine Biago and her husband, Anthony, of Pequannock, NJ, and Elizabeth Sincavage and her husband, Joseph, of Swoyersville; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
