Pasquale “Patsy” Galella, 87, died December 3, 2009 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born to the late Lorenzo and Quintilia (Ferri) Galella on October 10, 1922, he was a longtime resident of Hilldale, Plains Township. He spent nearly 50 years at Airport Sand & Gravel Company, Inc. as a construction laborer. Prior positions included, bartender at the Mayfair Supper-Club and driver for Abdalla Banana Co. In addition, he was employed by Pasquini Block Company and Capone Coal Mines. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters; the Societa Giovanile of Old Forge; and St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.
Following a 48 year marriage, he was preceded in death by wife, Henrietta Clicerio in 1998. He was also preceded by brothers; Dino and Frank Galella, and sisters; Agatha Galella and Josephine Yurek.
He is survived by daughter, Lorraine and husband, Tony Joseph, Plains; son, Lorenzo (Larry) Galella and wife, Patricia, Harding; granddaughters, Lorenza (Lori) Galella, Miami, FL, and Christina Galella, Harding; numerous niece and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Avenue, West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.
