Richard Capone, 69, of Pittston, died March 9, 2010, in University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia.
Born in Pittston on July 15, 1940, he was a son of the late John and Rosalind Sarf Capone. He was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Pittston. He was employed as a union carpenter/millwright. He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union No. 514, the Pittston Lithuanian Club, and the Browntown Italian American Citizens Club.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Capone.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Joyce Markowski Capone; daughters Lisa and her husband, James Wallace, Pittston, and Renee Capone, Taylor; granddaughter, Adriana Wallace, whom he adored; brother, John Capone, Colorado; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were March 13 from the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Pittston. Interment St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston.
