Sandra June (Ash) Howell, 61, formerly of Avoca, died September 23, 2009 in Tampa, FL after a long, hard-fought and courageous battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gretta Ash, her brothers Donald, Lawrence, and David and her sister Paula.

She is survived by her brothers, Robert II and Richard and sisters, Beverly Dormagen, Carol Berry and Judy Luder along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends; five children and five grandchildren, daughters Wendy and husband Thomas Tigue with their daughter Shaina and son Skyler, Pittston; Heather and her husband John Johnson, with their daughter, Jessica and sons Johnny and Karl, Port Richey, FL; sons, Raymond Howell and Vince Butrymowicz, Tampa, FL; and daughter Krystal Howell and longtime boyfriend John Berlinski, Tampa, FL.

A graveside service will be held at the Spring Brook Cemetery on Rt. 502 in Spring Brook, on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev Michael Shambora of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Avoca,
