Stanley Timinski Sr.

Stanley J. Timinski Sr., 71, of Exeter Township, died November 6, 2009, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Dupont, he was a son of the late Walter and Sophie Kolodziejski Timinski. He was a graduate of Dupont High School, class of 1956. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was employed at Rex Shoe, formerly of Exeter, Wilkes-Barre Steam Heat, and, prior to his retirement, at Sathers Candy. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church of Wyoming.

Preceding him in death were his sisters, Lorraine Sottile, Dorothy Donnini; and a brother, Joseph Timinski.

Surviving are his wife, the former Henrietta Gashi, with whom he celebrated 48 years of marriage in July; children, Sophia Arnold, Hunlock Creek; Stanley Timinski and his wife, Cindy, Exeter Township; Ann Mosier and her husband, David, Trucksville; Patricia Halko and her husband, William, Ashland; Brenda Strobel and her husband, Ryan, West Wyoming; Michael Timinski and his wife, June, Trucksville; Sally Cirelli and her husband, Nick, West Pittston; Christopher and his wife, Tracy, Exeter Township; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Ronald and Walter, both of Springbrook; sister, Florence McLauglin, Springbrook; as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday from the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave.,Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Wyoming. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, Kirby Health Center RM 207, Wilkes-Barre, 18701.
