Stella Lippi

Stella Lippi, 92, formerly of Exeter, died November 2, 2009, at the Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Exeter.

Born in Miners Mills, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Wielgopolski Ulawski. Her family then moved to Plymouth and subsequently to Hunlock Creek, where she attended Harter High School. A devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter, she and her late husband, Guy A. Lippi, who died in 1998, operated the Kiddie-Go-Round rides on Wyoming Avenue in Exeter. She had also worked at Sabatini’s Pizza, Exeter, from 1962 until 1982, when she retired. She was a 47-year survivor of breast cancer.

Also preceding her in death were her brothers and sisters, Sophie Potopczyck, Jennie Czarnecki, Mary Giovinazzo, Josephine Gronkowski, Joseph Ulawski, Betty Thompson, Jean Gronkowski, John Laski and Walter Ulawski.

Surviving are her son, Robert T., and his lifelong companion, Irene Miller, Hazleton; and a sister, Terry (Ann) Micholson, Amherst, NY; numerous nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral was Nov. 5 from the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, Exeter, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
