Vincent D. Mazzitelli, 81, of Rose Hill, KS, and formerly Old Forge, died November 2, 2009, in the Galichia Heart Hospital, Wichita, KS. His wife of 53 years, the former Rose Marie Callis, died on July 17, 2004.
Born in Old Forge, a son of the late Michael and Rose Marie Tagliaterra Mazzitelli, he was a graduate of Old Forge High School. He furthered his education and received his associate’s degree. Before retirement, he was in the construction industry as a self-employed contractor and project manager. He moved to Rose Hill in 2005 and was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover, KS. He was also a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Old Forge. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Santo Mazzitelli.
Surviving is a daughter, Dr. Donna St. Clair, of Wichita, KS; three granddaughters, Stephanie, Natalie and Nicole Rose St. Clair; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Nov. 7 from the Ferri Funeral Home, Old Forge, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Old Forge. Interment Old Forge Cemetery. To leave an online condolence visit www.ferrifuneralhome.com .
