Charles C. Cumbo

Charles C. Cumbo, 68, of Orlando, FL died August 9, 2009 after a short battle with cancer.

He was born April 3, 1941 in Pittston. to Theresa Cumbo and the late Sam Cumbo. He was retired from the DuPont Co. in Wilmington, DE where he worked for 25 years as an Organic Chemist, and at Bristol Myers Squibb as a Patent & Senior Information Liaison doing Comprehensive Patents and Literature Searching for the Company. He received his Doctorate Degree from the University of Notre Dame, and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orlando, FL.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Carol Bellanca of Pittston; children Charles Jr. and wife Anita; David Cumbo; Teresa Myers and husband Tom, all of Orlando; grandchildren Michelle, Anthony and Nicole Cumbo, and Tom Myers, Jr.; and a sister Catherine Haduck and husband Charles of Duryea.

Arrangements were under the direction of Family Funeral Care, 13001 South John Young Pkwy., Hunters Creek, Orlando, FL 32837 (407) 812-4200. Memorial Service was held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Orlando FL.
