An old joke goes like this:
What’s the difference between a friend and a neighbor?
A neighbor gives you a zucchini.
Not very funny, but even less so if you happen to be going hungry. That zucchini looks a lot different then.
Those of you who have enjoyed bountiful gardens this summer can be both friends and neighbors to the hungry of Greater Pittston by donating some of your harvest to the Greater Pittston Food Pantry.
Their clients will deeply appreciate having fresh fruits and vegetables.
Even zucchini.
To make a donation, call Peggy Burke at 817-6874.
