West Pittston Mayor Bill Goldsworthy, who provided this list, told the Dispatch he is still hearing comments that this year’s fireworks were not only the best ever for Pittston but the best in the valley. We agree.

And the event itself, bringing thousands of people to the downtown and riverbank on Fourth of July weekend, has become one of the highlights of the summer.

On behalf of everyone in Greater Pittston, we commend the donors on this list and encourage others to get involved.

Donations to pay for this year’s bill and to ensure fireworks on future Fourth of Julys can be sent to or dropped off at Pittston City Hall, 35 Broad Street, Pittston, PA 18640.

Make checks payable to the Pittston/West Pittston Community Fund.
