PA fundraiser to support Colleen Shea Children’s Foundation

Kindergarten Center The Pittston Area School District is now selling Jon L. Stopay Peanut Butter Chiffon candy for Christmas to support the Colleen Shea Children’s Foundation. The cost is $6 per box. An order form went home with each student this week. If you would like to purchase candy, please fill out the order form and return it to your child’s teacher along with the money, before Thursday, December 3. Candy delivery is scheduled for Thursday, December 10.

PA Drama Club to present play this Friday and Saturday Times Leader Photo Galleries

The Pittston Area High School Drama Club will be presenting their fall production on Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The play, which is called The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of Macbeth, is a comedy about a community theatre group trying to stage Macbeth in hopes of gaining entrance to a prestigious drama competition. The group is faced with shoddy sets, subpar acting, and backstage disasters.

Parent/Teacher conferences this week at PA Middle School

The Pittston Area Middle School will hold Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Report cards for the first marking period will be distributed at this time. Parents are encouraged to come and meet with their child’s teachers to discuss any concerns.

Fall fundraiser pick up this week at PA Intermediate Center

The Fifth Grade P.P.L. presentation will be on November 16 at the Middle School Cafeteria starting at 9:30.

Primary Center holds ‘What’s Special About October’ assembly

On Friday, October 23 the Primary Center second “What’s Special About October” Assembly was held. The assembly featured special happenings that take place during the month of October. Mrs. Pramick’s 1st grade class, and Mrs. Shovlin’s 2nd grade class highlighted monthly happenings by performing poems, songs, and movements about October. All primary students will have the opportunity to perform in one assembly during the school year.

The Pittston Area Ski Club is being run

The Pittston Area Ski Club is being run at Sno Mountain. Children from K to college-age are welcome to participate. Parents can also take advantage of this great opportunity to ski and spend some great outdoor time with their kids.
