Senior Interviews

Nina Sorbelli, of Laflin, is the daughter of Marianne and Edward Sorbelli and was born on October 3, 1991. As a fan of the movie Twilight, she obviously loves Robert Pattinson, but she is also fond of Zac Efron and the movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Nina is looking forward to going to college, but she really can’t wait for the day where she is rich and doesn’t have to go to school. One other thing about Nina, she loves anything said in a British accent.

Michael Bantell, of Inkerman, is the son of Mike and Patrice Bantell and was born on July 1, 1992. Michael’s most memorable high school moment was playing the drums in the talent show. He loves chicken wings, the movie Roadhouse, and the song “Confidence Man”.

Michael enjoys playing the drums, target shooting, and riding his quad. He is also a member of the Classic Movie Club and talent show. After graduation, Michael plans to go to college, but he is most looking forward to when he gets a high paying job. If he could teach any class in the world, Michael would teach music. Michael’s high school experience in one word, “awesome.”

Shelby Balchune, of Hughestown, is the daughter of Christian and Geanna Balchune and was born on December 10, 1991. Shelby’s personal catchphrase is “keep it simple.” She has been a member of the swim team for the past four years, and she enjoys teaching children to swim. Shelby’s idol is Amanda Beard.

After high school, Shelby wants to attend East Stroudsburg University to study special education. She is looking forward to graduating from college, getting a good job, and fulfilling her dreams. Shelby’s high school experience has been awesome. If she could teach any class in the world, she would teach special education.
