Pittston Area Student Council to sell ‘football necklace’ for MDA

The Pittston Area Student Council is hoping to raise school spirit, along with money for MDA, by selling “football necklaces”. These football cut outs will sell for $1, and will sell on Monday November 2and Tuesday November in all buildings from the kindergarten to the high school.

The footballs will be worn by the students on “game day”, Friday November 6. Any student wearing a football will be allowed to wear jeans and tee shirts (school colored) on that day of the pep rally.

Students can write their own name on the football, a message of encouragement for the team to beat Wyoming Area, their favorite football player’s number/name; the possibilities are endless and intended to increase school spirit. The cheerleaders and football players will be around to the buildings on that Friday, and will be encouraged to see the student body proudly wearing school colors.

Despite the outcome of the Wyoming Area football game, Pittston Area’s students will definitely be winners in helping to fight neuromuscular diseases.
