Our next school Mass will be held on Thursday, November 18th at 10:30 a.m. Eighth grade will be preparing the celebration and Fr. Maloney will be the celebrant. Everyone is invited to join us.
Parents, in Wednesday envelope there was a form (per child) with your appointment time for parent/teacher conferences. Each appointment is for a 10-minute time slot. Please be on time and, in consideration of those after you; please keep to your allotted time. This also means that there will not be any basketball practice during this time. Thank you for your cooperation.
In today’s envelope, you will find a request for food donations (from kindergarten through grade 8) and toiletries (from pre-school) from the Little Sisters of the Poor. Your donated item goes directly to local men, women and children in need during the holidays. Please get the donations in on time.
On Tuesday, November 10th there will be an early dismissal day due to Parent/Teacher conferences. Dismissal will be at 11:00 a.m. The following day, Wednesday, November 11, we will not have school in observance of Veteran’s Day.
Enclosed in today’s envelope, you will find permission slips for grades 5, 6, 7 and 8. They will be traveling to Holy Redeemer High School on Thursday, November 12th to see the play “Godspell.” The permission slip was due by Friday, November 6th. Please keep in mind that we have half day on Tuesday, Nov. 10th and we are off on Wednesday, Nov. 11th. If we do not receive a completed slip for your child then he/she will not be permitted to go and will have to stay here at St. Mary’s.
Registration forms for Mark Casper’s Girls Basketball Camp were sent home a few weeks ago. Deadline for registration for the camp is Tuesday, Nov. 10th. Please send your form with payment as soon as possible so Mr. Casper can order the correct amount of t-shirts. Please make checks payable to Mark Casper. All food donations are to be brought the day of the camp and not to school. The food pantry will accept any and all donations but with Thanksgiving right around the corner they are especially in need of stuffing, cranberry sauce and instant potatoes.
The United Way 2009 Annual Campaign is currently under way. The Campaign provides much needed assistance to numerous Catholic agencies in the community. The United Way is the only community campaign that the Diocese asks our schools to support. We ask the students to please contribute $1.00 each. Coin envelopes will be provided in the weeks family envelope. Please return them to the school no later than Friday, November 13th. Thank you for your cooperation.
