The Pre-Kindergarten class of Wyoming Area Catholic was treated to a surprise visit by TUX, the mascot for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Tux visited during the Letter "P" week at the Pre-Kindergarten. Students sang songs and recited finger plays for their special guest.

Wyoming Area Catholic School is happy to announce the Credit Union Program will be held again for our students in grades 4, 5 and 6. The program will begin on Monday, March 8 between noon and 12:30. Over the next few weeks the students will gain knowledge in: Budgeting, How to Balance a Check Book, Finances, Credit Cards.
Curriculum and Teachers for this course are provided by The Cross Country Federal Credit Union. This invaluable program starts it second year at Wyoming Area Catholic.
Stations of the Cross will take place each Friday during Lent at 8:15 a.m. The eighth grade students will present the Living Stations on March 26 beginning at 1:00 p.m. in St. Cecilia’s Church. Everyone is invited to celebrate the prayerful season of Lent with the students of Wyoming Area Catholic.
Royal Cougars Challengers are set for another year of XC season. Erin Weiss is the Cross Country Coach for the team. The Royal Cougar Challengers consist of students from Wyoming Area Catholic, Exeter; Holy Rosary, Duryea and St. Mary’s Assumption, Pittston.
Cross Country is both an individual and team sport. Everyone counts and everyone plays. Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to participate. Junior Varsity consists of students in grades 5-6. Varsity are students in grades 7-8.

The PTG is conducting a spring flower sale this year. A variety of flowers will be available for sale from February 22, 2010 through March 19, 2010. Your choices include lilies, mums, hyacinths, and mini daffodils. They will be delivered on Monday, March 29. The flowers can be picked up between the hours of 2:45 – 3:45 p.m. or 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at St. Cecilia’s Church Hall.
The flowers make lovely holiday gifts as well as beautiful Easter/Spring decorations for our homes, offices and businesses. We hope you enjoy the convenience of ordering your flowers from our PTG.
All orders must be pre-paid and checks payable to Wyoming Area Catholic School.
