Recently, the seventh grade students of Wyoming Area Catholic participated in Jenkins Township Lions Club Peace Poster Contest. Lions International Peace Poster Contest is an international contest that encourages children, ages 11-13, to creatively express what peace means to them. The 2008-2009 contest theme is "Peace Begins with Me."
The contest allows students to share their unique image of peace with others, so that we may all have a greater tolerance and international understanding.
Three students placed in the local competition. There drawings now proceed to the district level. Pictured are the students whose posters were chosen at the local level; 3rd Place Nikki Scarantino, Denise Shevock, seventh grade teacher, Tyler Guilford, 2nd place and Leanne Para, 1st place.

As Veterans’ approaches it’s important to impress upon our youngsters the gratitude and pride we have for our wonderful veterans, both living and deceased. As a tribute to these brave and selfless individuals who have served our country, the eighth grade of Wyoming Area Catholic will be creating a “Wall of Heroes” for our hallway display.
A “Hero to All” tribute sheet has been sent home. The tribute sheet asks for the name of the hero, Branch of the Military Rank and Tour of Duty. We are asking you to speak with your child about his/her family members who are served in the past or are currently serving in any branch of the military. Complete the form, attach a picture and return it to school.
To achieve Student of the Month, at Wyoming Area Catholic students must exhibit the following criteria:
