Tenth Street announces October Students of the Month

Margaret Grimes, Wyoming Area Tenth Street Elementary School principal, is pleased to announce the October Students of the Month.

Teachers make their criteria for the award based on improvement in academic as well as pro-social skills. The Students of the Month award is sponsored by Januzzi’s Pizza.

Students are awarded a certificate, a pin, and a certificate to Januzzi’s Pizza. When the student redeems their certificate, they receive a special t-shirt designed by proprietor of Januzzi’s, Carrie Martin.

PTO Meeting

PTO meetings are the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. We encourage everyone to attend and participate.

Basket Raffle

10th St’s first basket raffle and bake sale held on Tuesday, November 10, was a huge success. Thank you to all that donated and participated.

Ballet

Fourth grade will be attending a performance of The Nutcracker Ballet on December 11th at 10 a.m. at the Scranton Cultural Center.

Fridays

Football tickets will be sold on Fridays during lunch for home games only.

Fridays will be “Spirit Day” at Tenth St. Dress your child in green, gold, and white to support their schools teams.

Feed-A-Friend

Feed-A-Friend collection has closed. We appreciate any donations. Toys for Tots campaign will begin November 2nd.

Box Tops and Soup Labels

Continue saving your Box-Tops and Campbell’s labels. Bags have been placed in classrooms and will remain there throughout the year. Please be sure to register your Price Chopper cards. Please continue to send in your Capri/Kool-Aid pouches; our first week alone we collected over 160 pouches just at lunch. Please rinse them off before you send them in.

Smencils

Smencils are back. We will be selling Smencils on Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch only. Holiday Smencils are now available.

Lost & Found

There are quite a few coats in the lost & found in the cafeteria. If your child is missing a coat, please have them check in the box in the cafeteria.
