Wyoming Area School District is once again participating in the Dual Enrollment Program this spring. The program has been partially funded by a state grant to all participants in the past. At this time we are still not assured of any funding from the state as they are still working on the budget; however, the cost for a three credit course at any of the participating local colleges is extremely affordable. Seniors and juniors can register for spring classes by attending a registration meeting on Thursday, November 19th at 7 p.m. in Room 195 at the high school. A preliminary meeting will be held on November 16th as an introductory session for anyone not familiar with the DE Program and the distribution of registration forms and course listings.
Dual Enrollment affords qualifying seniors and juniors the opportunity to experience college life before actually becoming a college student. Qualifying students must have at least a 3.0 in the subject area in which they wish to enroll. They must be in compliance with the guidelines of the DE Committee, being in good standing with the rules and regulations of the school.
