PD Anniversaries

Mr. and Mrs. John A. Chiampi, Sr., West Pittston, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 12, 2009. The couple met at the Italian American Citizen Club in West Pittston and was married at Sacred Heart Church, Plains, PA.

Mrs. Chiampi is the former Patricia Gambini, daughter of the late Russell and Anna Gambini, Plains. Mr. Chiampi is the son of the late Joseph and Carmella Ciampi Manzo, West Pittston. Mr. Chiampi is retired from Wyoming Area School District and is currently employed by Pace Transportation. Mrs. Chiampi is retired.

Mr. and Mrs. Chiampi have three children, Joseph Chiampi and wife Mary Ellen, West Wyoming; John Chiampi, Jr and wife Cindy, West Pittston; and daughter Roslyn Anderson and husband, Lance, Morristown, NJ. They have three grandchildren: Anthony and Joseph Chiampi, West Wyoming and John Chiampi III, West Pittston.

The couple was honored at an anniversary dinner hosted by their children at Grico’s Exeter.
