PD Anniversaries

Hank and Mickey Bartos of Dallas, PA, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on November 20, 2008.

They were married in 1948 in Cliffside Park, NJ and lived in several states in the country before settling in West Pittston, to raise their family. In 1976 they moved to the ancestral home in Dallas, PA. They are founders of the Sanapac Company, the family business for 51 years.

They were honored Saturday, November 22 at a dinner hosted by their children and grandchildren, their eldest daughter Barbara and husband Glenn Smith of Annapolis, MD; Diane Scherer and son Steven of Dresher, PA and daughter Kristin of Wilkes-Barre, PA; Darlene and husband Jim Doble of Harding, PA; Robert and wife Sandy Bartos and son Eric (just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq) of Dallas, PA and Joanne and husband David Dillon of Lakewood Ranch, FL.

In the course of their 60 years marriage, in addition to raising a family and running their businesses, the couple’s other interests have included jitterbugging, traveling around the world, politics, real estate development, race horses and weekend trips to Atlantic City.
