Avoca couples mark anniversaries at PSU

Jim and Rose Thomas and Ned and Mary Kay Jones, rabid Penn State fans from Avoca, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversaries at the Penn State- Minnesota homecoming football game.

The couples were joined by several family members and friends at a dinner at the Penn Stater Hotel. Also joining the gathering was the entire ABC Game Day crew who covered the game on ABC. Also attending the dinner were Anton and Dee Wallace and son A.J. Wallace, star defensive back for the Lions. The Wallace’s are close friends of the couples.

Prior to the game, the couples were honored at an elaborate tailgate party hosted by their friendsfrom Lackawanna County. The tailgate party was filmed by the Big Ten TV Network for future viewing
