Ann Kaluzavich, Stevie Musto and Todd Maisano, all of Pittston, and Ronald Oley, Jr., of Exeter all earned academic awards at the 60th Commencement exercises of King’s College.
Kaluzavich earned the John P. Moses Award for Public Law. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
Musto earned The Betty Marie Duffee Scholarship for Achievement in Graduate Study in Reading. He earned a Master of Education degree in reading.
Maisano earned The Philadelphia Chapter, American Institute of Chemists Award and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry.
Oley earned The Award for Computers and Information Systems. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in computers and information systems.

Gary Stavish of West Wyoming has been named to the Dean’s List at King’s College for the spring semester.
Sam DeAlba of Duryea graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in Meteorology from Millersville University. Sam served as vice-president of the American Meteorological Society of Millersville. The A.M.S. was ranked number one in the country the last two years. Sam is the son of MaryAlice and Sam DeAlba.
Charles M. Lopresto, son of Anita and Charlie Lopresto, Pittston Twp., recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, Magna Cum Laude, with a BA in English. Charlie will be attending Cornell Law School in the fall.
Air National Guard" href=http://www.timesleader.com/search?searchterm=%22Air+National+Guard%22>Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Jessica L. Smith graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Laurie is the daughter of Emanuel Posluszny of Bear Creek Township and Jolyn Bartoli of Pittston. She is a 2007 graduate of Pittston Area High School.
Robert M. Corey, a 2004 Pittston Area graduate, graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester with degrees in biology and psychology. He was also a Take Five scholar and completed a program of study in philosophical theology. He will attend The Commonwealth Medical College is Scranton this fall.
Marissa Salvo, daughter of Charles and Joyce Salvo, Pittston Township, graduated Magna Cum Laude on May 17 from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and minor in Leadership Studies.
While at URI College of Pharmacy, Marissa received the Pharmacy Practice Teaching Award for her outstanding achievement in teaching during a 6-weeka academic teaching rotation.
She was an active member of Lambda Kappa Sigma Pharmacy Fraternity, where she served for 1 year as Recording Secretary and 2 years as Vice President. Marissa was recognized for her dedication and leadership within the organization through her receipt of 2 national LKS scholarships, the Adele Lowe Leadership Scholarship and the Norma Wells Loyalty Scholarship. This spring, Marissa was selected by her sisters as recipient of the “Sister of the Year” award recognizing her continued enthusiasm, dedication, and leadership over her 6 years as a member.
Marissa was also a member and past Vice President of Rho Chi. Rho Chi is the national Pharmacy Honor Society that recognizes the top 10% of each professional class. She was an active member in the school’s chapters of the American Pharmacists Association and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists; she represented URI numerous times through her attendance at regional and national pharmacy meetings. Marissa recently spoke at the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s Education and Training Meeting in Orlando about her clinical experience working as a member of an inter-professional student care team during her clinical rotations.
Marissa will pursue a Pharmacy Residency at St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, MO. She will receive a clinical health faculty appointment at the college and practice at St. Louis County Department of Health.
