Margaret Grimes, Wyoming Area’s JFK and Tenth Street Elementary School principal, was recently published in the state-wide journal, Pennsylvania Administrator.
The article entitled, "Principal Mentoring: A Rewarding Experience," was published in the February edition.
Megan and Molly Sweeney daughters of Mike and Marie Sweeney of Plains have been notified they have attained the dean’s list at their respected schools.
Megan is a junior education major at King’s and Molly is a freshman dietetics-nutrition major at Marywood.
Both are graduates of Coughlin High School and the granddaughters of Donald and Liz Cruise of Exeter and Maureen Carden Sweeney and the late Jack Sweeney of Wilkes-Barre. Megan and Molly have a younger sister Melanie, an eighth grade honor student at Plains Solomon Elementary.
Kurt Kosick has been named to the dean’s list at Penn State University, Harrisburg campus. He is a freshman majoring in electrical engineering. Kurt is the son of Cliff and Sandy Kosick of Exeter.
The following local residents have been named to the fall 2008 Dean’s List at University of Sciences in Philadelphia. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a C and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the fall semester of 2008.
The students named to the Dean’s List are Terrah Cobb of Exeter, a doctor of pharmacy student; Ashley Zielen of Pittston, a doctor of pharmacy student; Josh Campbell of Pittston, a doctor of pharmacy student and Erin Chesnavich of Pittston, a biology student.

Valenti Vision Films, a New Jersey Independent Film Company, is currently filming "Think Tank" a new exciting television pilot that centers around the CIA and FBI before, during and after 9/11 events. The show specifically centers around a team of intelligence agents called the "FIT" team, utilizing special skills to aid in the ward on terror. Starring David Wenzel, Russell Friedenberg and Chris Slone, the show begins with events leading up to 9/11 that could have prevented the attack. Could the attacks have been prevented is the question asked after the opening scenes.
The show will air on the European network America Unleashed in over 13 countries this spring, while a U.S. network deal is currently in negotiations, along with a book deal.
Some of the cities the show will be filming the first episode include Queens, Manhattan, areas of North New Jersey and Avoca, Pennsylvania at the Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport. For more information on the series, visit the official show web site at www.thinktankcia.com.
