Tobyhanna employees reach career milestones

Five Tobyhanna employees were recognized for their years of government service during the Jan. 21 Length of Service (LOS) Ceremony.

Bruce Curnoles of Spring Brook Township- 40 years, education technician, Technical Development Division, Business Management Directorate.

Richard Novak of Pocono Pines- 35 years, electronics equipment inspector leader, Quality Improvement Division, Productivity, Improvement and Innovation Directorate.

John Peters of Tobyhanna- 30 years, electronics technician, Communications Security Division, Communications Systems Directorate (D/CS).

Robert Petrone of Lake Ariel- 30 years, engineering technician, Design and Development Branch, Engineering Design, Development and Manufacturing Division, Production Engineering Directorate.

Frank Slempa of Pittston- 30 years, electronics mechanic supervisor, Tactical Communications Division, D/CS.

In addition to their service certificates and pins, employees with 40 years of service receive a gold watch and crystal eagle statue and 35-year honorees receive an engraved mantel clock. Those with 30 years receive a framed American Flag that includes a photo of the depot. Honorees who attend their LOS ceremony also receive a four-hour time-off award. Deputy Commander Frank Zardecki presented the awards.
