Ziti dinner and craft show today at Wyoming Area

The annual ziti dinner and spring craft show sponsored by the Wyoming Area Softball Parents Association is today, March 22. The craft show will start at 9 a.m. and run to 6 p.m. with dinner being served from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is being held at the Wyoming Area Secondary Center Cafeteria on Memorial Street in Exeter. The various vendors and crafters include designer purses, fleece blankets, gifts, jewelry, makeup, candles, umbrellas, seasonal merchandise, collectibles, pictures, crafts, baked good, candy and much more.

Cost of the dinner is $6.00 per person with take-outs available. Free admission to craft show and plenty of free parking.

Happy Birthday-

Happy birthday to Brandi Hindmarsh Jones, of Hughestown, who will celebrate on March 25.

Victoria Pierson of Port Griffith will celebrate on Saturday March 28.

Helyne Brdaric of Luzerne will celebrate on March 28.

Dr. Jeff Walker of Hughestown, will celebrate on March 30.

Craft Show-

A craft show will be held at the Tunkhannock Area Middle School, sponsored by the Middle School Band, on Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A bake sale and refreshments will also be offered.

Dean’s List-

The following students have been named to the dean’s list honors at Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, for the Fall 2008 semester:

Danielle S. Carr, of Exeter, Jessica L. Donahue of Pittston and Sarah M. Saporito of Pittston.

Stephanie Griffin of Pittston has been named to the dean’s list at Saint Francis University.

Pictured at right is the committee for the 50th class reunion of Wyoming High School to be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the home of Janet (Kinsey) Demech. First row: Donalee Miller Blasi, Connie Zanta Dominick, Janet Kinsey Demech and Lorraine Legas Miller. Second row: Ralph Nardell, Tom Betsko and Dan Pace. The committee is still looking for the whereabouts of Jean Hearn, Joe Hayko, John Kolesar, Jerry McGinley, Mary Piccarelli, Larry Smallcombe and David Smail.

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center announces newborns.

A boy was born to Heather and Gregory Jones of Duryea on March 15.

A girl was born to Kristin and Mike Giordano of Swoyersville on March 17.

Reunion Meeting-

Wyoming Area Class of 1990 will hold a 20th Reunion planning meeting onWednesday, March 25th 7 to 9 p.m. at Valenti’s Restaurant. Exeter.

Angel Night-

Wyoming Area Drama Club’s "Angel Night" will be held this Wednesday, March 25, from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the school’s Secondary Center auditorium. For the cost of $10 per ticket, you will not only get first choice of seating for the Club’s presentation of Little Shop of Horrors and your name listed as an "Angel" in the program book, but you will also have the opportunity to see a preview of cast members performing selections from the musical. Tickets will also be on sale in the school lobby from March 30 to April 2, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., as well as prior to each performance. Cost of tickets are $8 per adult and $6 per student.

Performances will be held April 3rd and 4th at 7:00 p.m. and April 5th at 2:00 p.m. Drama Parents will meet on Wednesday, March 25th, at 6:30 p.m. in the school lobby.
