Engaged to Wed

Nicole Susan Bryk and John Paul Warnek, along with their parents, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mrs. Michele Barna of Pittston and Mr. John Bryk of Avoca. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mikitish of Duryea and Ms. Irene Joyce and the late John Bryk of Avoca.

Nicole is a 1997 graduate of Pittston Area High School. She graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2002, with a degree in Elementary Education and currently attended Wilkes University where she obtained her Masters degree in Special Education. Nicole is a Special Education Teacher in the Old Forge School District.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Warnek, Old Forge. John is the grandson of the late Peter and Eileen Nanni, Old Forge and Ms. Ceil Exter, Moosic and Mrs. John Warunek, Dupont. He is a 2000 graduate of Old Forge High School and a 2005 graduate of Wilkes University with a Bachelor’s degree. He is also pursuing his Master’s degree in Education Administration. John is currently employed at Wyoming Valley Healthcare in Wilkes-Barre. He also is the Founder/CEO of Warnek Inc. The couple will exchange their wedding vows in front of family and friends on June 13, 2009 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. The couple will honeymoon in Jamaica immediately following the wedding.
