The bride-to-be is the daughter of Garrick and Charlene Barge, Pittston. She is the granddaughter of Nora Barge and the late Rocco Barge of Pittston Township and Charles and Mary Volpe of Pittston. Lauren is a 2003 graduate of Pittston Area High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Penn State University, University Park. She is a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for Eli Lilly and Company and currently resides in Philadelphia.

The prospective groom is the son of Barry and Deborah Przybyla, West Wyoming. He is the grandson of Dolores Sandroski and the late Henry Sandroski of Exeter and Laura Przybyla and the late Henry Przybyla of Wilkes-Barre Township. Michael is a 2002 graduate of Wyoming Area High School. He is a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and recently completed his second tour of duty in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Michael has also served a tour in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He is a student at Penn State University and resides in Philadelphia.

The couple will exchange vows on August 9, 2009 at Stroudsmoor Inn, Stroudsburg.
