Michelle Ann Telencio and John Michael Amico, together with their families, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Shirley Telencio, Miners Mills and the late Martin Telencio Sr. She is the granddaughter of the late Elmer and Effie Stucker, Parsons and the late Metro and Mary Telencio, Laflin. Michelle is a 1989 graduate of Coughlin High School, a 2003 and 2009 graduate of Luzerne County Community College with an Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology and Nursing. Michelle is presently employed by Wyoming Valley Health Care System as an Operating Room Nurse.

The prospective groom is the son of John and Loretta Amico, Hughestown. He is the grandson of Sam and Madeline Amico, Pittston and the late Rudolph and Loretta Forlenza, Pittston. John is a 1992 graduate of Pittston Area High School, a 1998 graduate of Wilkes University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and a 2004 graduate of the University of Scranton with a Master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia. John is presently employed by Anesthesia Associates Inc., Wyoming Valley Health Care System.

The couple will exchange vows September 19 at St. Mary’s Help of Christians Church, Pittston. The couple plans to honeymoon in Aruba.
