Mr. and Mrs. Victor Kopko of Hanover Township, proudly announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Sarah Diane Kopko to Michael Joseph DeFrancesco, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael DeFrancesco of Kingstown Township.

The bride to be is the granddaughter of Mickee and Morgan Jones of Fort Pierce, Florida; the late Clem and Helene Kopko of Hanover Township and the late Ms. Betty Jones. The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Michael and Lydia DeFrancesco of Yatesville; the late Joseph and Nettie DeMark of Pittston and the late Robert Heffers of Pittston.

Sarah is a 2002 graduate of Hanover Area High School. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in History with a minor in Secondary Education from Wilkes University in 2006. She is employed as the Director of the Schoolhouse Daycare Center in Hanover Township.

Michael is a 1995 graduate of Dallas Area High School. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration and a minor in Management from College Misericordia in 1999. He is employed as the Vice President of Operations for AnimalScan, LLC in Easton and is the owner of All-Star Funding Inc. in Wyoming.

The couple will exchange vows on September 5, 2009 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Tannersville. A reception will follow at the Chateau Resort in the Poconos
