PD Engagements

Katie Rose McLaughlin and Robert Gordon Vanness III together with their parents, announce their engagement and approaching marriage. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Thomas and Gayle Mclaughlin of Clarks Summit. The prospective groom is the son of Robert Vanness Jr. of Pittston and Andrea Vanness of Clarks Summit.

Katie graduated from Abington Heights High School, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in special education from the University of Scranton, a Master’s degree in reading from King’s College and a certificate in elementary education from Misericordia University. She is a learning support teacher at the Montgomery Avenue Elementary School, Wyoming Area School District.

Robert graduated from Abington Heights High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Penn State University. He is president of Water Medic Inc.

A July wedding is planned.
