PD Engagements

Announcement is made of the engagement and upcoming wedding of Maria E. Healey to Thomas J. Hurst Jr., both of Dickson City.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P Healey, Scranton. She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Rosaleen McFadden Healey, Pittston and the late Donald and Marie Pesavento Williams, Scranton. She is a graduate of West Scranton High School and earned Bachelor’s degrees in secondary education and history from the University of Scranton. She is a teacher at Scranton High School.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Hurst, Dunmore. He is a graduate of Dunmore High School and a union ironworker in New York and New Jersey.

The wedding will be September 12, 2009 aboard Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas.
